Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take charge of designing and developing full stack features for an AI-driven web application utilizing Python, React, Redux, PostgreSQL, and AWS.

• Establish the technical vision and architectural guidelines for AI/ML systems.

• Investigate and prototype state-of-the-art AI technologies.

• Implement best practices for security, scalability, and observability within cloud architecture.

• Collaborate with product, design, and business teams to convey technical designs and strategies.

• Promote engineering standards and consistency across systems and processes.

• Provide mentorship to junior and intermediate engineers.

• Facilitate informed technical decision-making in the face of ambiguous, system-wide challenges.

• Engage in architecture discussions, release planning, and company-wide engineering initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in fullstack web development and production AI/ML systems.

• Extensive knowledge in AI/ML fields such as NLP, computer vision, and recommendation systems.

• Skilled in cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and microservices.

• Capability to architect and oversee end-to-end AI projects, including adherence to security best practices.

• Outstanding technical communication and knowledge-sharing skills.

• Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver innovative solutions.

• Experience in building foundational systems within fast-paced startup settings.

• Ability to address ambiguous technical challenges in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Strong development proficiency in React, Python, and Node, or similar technologies, with a quick learning ability.
