Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Creates software architecture and components for both new and existing systems.

• Develops, tests, and deploys high-quality production code.

• Oversees technical design evaluations and code assessments.

• Enhances system performance, scalability, and security.

• Constructs and manages automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.

• Provides mentorship to software engineers and promotes best practices.

• Collaborates with product, testing, and operations teams to facilitate releases.

• Performs additional tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is mandatory.

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Proficient experience with Java, C#, Python, or a comparable programming language.

• Familiarity with software design patterns, APIs, and relational databases.

• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and Agile development methodologies.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to work independently in a remote setting.

• Regularly required to use standard office equipment, including but not limited to computers, phones, scanners, and printers.

• Preferred: Experience with cloud platforms, containers, and microservices.

• Preferred: Cloud certification such as AWS Certified Developer or Azure Developer Associate.

• Preferred: Experience in supporting federal government contracts.
