Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of services that manage prescription processing from the initial intake to the dispatch of orders to pharmacies for fulfillment.

• Accurately and swiftly prepare prescriptions for fulfillment and delivery through a combination of automation and manual task coordination.

• Facilitate partners including drug manufacturers, insurers, and providers in configuring billing, benefits, and clinical workflows.

• Utilize LLMs to analyze unstructured prescription data and enhance intake automation.

• Incorporate controlled substance dispensing history and risk scores into pharmacists' safety and review workflows.

• Optimize drug selection to ensure patients receive the best pricing available.

• Maintain a balance between low inventory levels and high product availability.

• Lay the groundwork for a scalable inventory management platform.

• Guide engineers and promote best practices in software development and design.

• Tackle intricate technical challenges at the intersection of healthcare and e-commerce.

• Serve as a thought leader on predictive systems and influence technical strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent level of experience.

• Over 10 years of progressive experience in software engineering within a high-volume, high-throughput production setting.

• Strong background in Backend or Full Stack technologies.

• Familiarity with modern development environments such as Ruby on Rails, TypeScript/JavaScript, and PostgreSQL.

• Proven expertise in architecting complex systems focused on long-term maintainability, performance, and scalability.

• Solid engineering fundamentals with experience in building high-volume, resilient systems.

• Established technical best practices, including code style, documentation, code review, bug resolution, and production issue management.

• Extensive experience with supply chain optimization systems.

• Experience in building and integrating predictive machine learning models.

• Proficient in designing and implementing service-oriented architectures.

• Capability to work at a computer terminal for prolonged periods and meet the listed physical requirements.

• Willingness to travel occasionally and endure extended periods of sitting on airplanes and/or in vehicles.
