Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design and implement code while constructing the framework that supports Felix’s unique digital healthcare ecosystem.

• Develop both back-end and front-end systems, covering architectural patterns, technical specifications, designs, and database management.

• Create scalable software tailored for new products, markets, and healthcare sectors.

• Enhance platform reliability through rigorous testing, observability, and monitoring practices.

• Spot opportunities for system optimization and enhancement.

• Oversee communication channels throughout the technology stack and establish engineering practices and frameworks.

• Provide mentorship to junior team members.

• Work in partnership with Product and Design teams to deliver products and experiences that foster patient acquisition, engagement, and retention.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a full-stack software engineer specializing in scalable web applications.

• Proficiency in PHP/Laravel.

• Knowledge of JavaScript and Vue.

• A commitment to keeping up-to-date with evolving technology trends and advancements.

• Strong leadership abilities in guiding and unblocking development teams.

• Proficient in articulating technical concepts clearly.

• Capability to collaborate effectively with Product teams.

• Comfort with uncertainty and the ability to create clarity.

• A proactive approach to problem-solving, driving both projects and the team forward.

• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
