This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead initiatives and contribute to the development of software systems.
• Engage in the software design process from inception to completion.
• Oversee product features, including on-call escalations, triage, and resolution.
• Direct code and design reviews.
• Participate throughout the application lifecycle, with a focus on coding and debugging.
• Write maintainable code for functional web applications.
• Conduct advanced troubleshooting and debugging.
• Execute UI tests to enhance performance.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, and system administrators to identify new features.
• Manage innovative technologies to enhance legacy systems.
• Collect and address technical and design specifications.
• Set up and maintain environmental configurations while monitoring system health.
• Develop reusable code and libraries.
• Offer training and support to internal teams.
• Improve development tools, test coverage, and code architecture.
• Guide and provide technical assistance to junior engineers.
• Address on-call incidents and resolve critical disruptions to minimize downtime.
• Communicate proactively with customers and vendors.
• Independently manage tasks, resolve issues, meet deadlines, and adapt to new challenges.
• Uphold development standards within the team.
• Advocate for an API-first approach in software projects.
• At least 5 years of relevant software development experience, or 3 years along with an advanced degree.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proficient programming skills in an object-oriented language such as Java or C#.
• Demonstrated experience as a full stack developer.
• Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks like React and Angular, HTML, and CSS.
• Comprehensive understanding of the software development process from design to deployment.
• Experience in developing and deploying applications on Cloud Native Infrastructure.
• Background working within an agile framework.
• Strong analytical, time management, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to deliver value independently and provide technical insights.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and product teams.
• Experience in monitoring and supporting production systems, identifying and resolving issues, implementing proactive measures, and tracking metrics.
• Expertise in optimizing system performance and troubleshooting bottlenecks.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases as well as caching mechanisms.
• Understanding and practical application of REST API best practices, including security, scalability, and performance.
• Experience in developing unit, UI automation, and integration tests.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
• Ability to utilize AI-assisted workflows for code generation, testing, refactoring, and modernization.
• Eligibility to work in the US and for full-time employment without sponsorship.
• Preferred experience with SaaS offerings in technology and financial sectors.
• Preferred experience in building and deploying applications on Amazon Web Services using Kubernetes.
• Preferred experience with OpenTelemetry.
• Preferred experience with front-end frameworks such as Vue.js.
