This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop sophisticated AI agents that execute real tasks for app developers.
• Deploy agent-based features to thousands of developers.
• Establish the groundwork for orchestration, tool execution, context management, evaluation, and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Enhance RevenueCat's Rico subscription-business agent.
• Improve RevenueCat's Astra paywall-building agent.
• Define, prioritize, and lead product rollouts in collaboration with the Product team.
• Release user-facing features, monitor their usage and adoption, and refine them over time.
• During the first month, familiarize yourself with tools, processes, subscription concepts, debugging tools, infrastructure, and architecture.
• Launch an initial feature showcasing how Rico and Astra interact with RevenueCat APIs.
• Resolve bugs, implement minor enhancements, and engage in pull-request reviews.
• Within three months, deliver a medium-sized project, ideally an agentic feature that serves tens of thousands of developers.
• Formulate opinions and enhance agent infrastructure, orchestration, evaluation pipeline, tool framework, and trust and permissions layer.
• Define and execute projects from inception through post-launch improvements.
• Take part in code reviews, bug bashes, and technical discussions.
• Become the primary engineer for specific focus areas.
• Enhance the reliability, speed, and capability of Rico and Astra.
• Contribute to broader architectural discussions.
• Mentor new engineers.
• Engage directly with customers to grasp product impact.
• Troubleshoot issues across frontend, backend, and data; communicate during incidents and implement preventative measures.
• Learn incident response and participate in the on-call rotation.
• Build infrastructure for the team to develop agents upon.
• Draft proposals and lead significant architectural discussions.
• Define and design large projects, gather feedback, and manage design validation and rollout strategies.
• Assist in transforming RevenueCat into an AI-native company by constructing its fundamental agent engine.
• Initiate improvements to products and systems based on customer priorities.
• Over 8 years of experience in deploying production systems.
• Created agents that are actively utilized by others and the systems that support them: tool utilization, structured output, context management, evaluation, orchestration.
• Strong backend fundamentals; proficient in building reliable, observable, and secure systems.
• High standards for quality and ability to streamline scope while delivering value.
• Customer-centric approach.
• Builder mentality: scoping, prioritizing, and leading rollouts in partnership with the Product team.
• Ability to quickly understand and enhance code written by others.
• Proactive approach towards shipping and iterating.
• Clear communication skills in real-time and asynchronously.
• Launched significant user-facing features to production, tracked usage and adoption, and improved them over time.
• High-quality, well-tested coding; methodical debugging; constructive feedback and mentorship.
• Comfortable identifying issues, suggesting improvements, and executing quickly.
• Adaptable in an early-stage product environment.
• Self-motivated approach.
• Curiosity and a commitment to staying updated on AI tools and practices.
• Habit of sharing insights and learnings.
• Ideally, familiarity with subscription business models, app stores, or developer tools.
