• Collaborate with product and engineering leaders to translate feature specifications and acceptance criteria into automated test suites.
• Impact testability during the design of products and features.
• Guide engineers and establish technical direction on best practices for testability.

• Make decisions on whether to build or buy testing tools and infrastructure.
• 6+ years of experience as an SDET, QA Automation Engineer, or Software Engineer with a robust focus on testing, including experience managing automation architecture from start to finish.
• Proven success in building test automation frameworks from the ground up for mobile (iOS and/or Android) and web applications, ideally across multiple companies or significant initiatives.

• Strong programming abilities in at least one of the following: TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, Kotlin, Swift, or Python.
• Experience designing and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, along with troubleshooting pipeline-level flakiness and build/test failures.
• Solid understanding of test design techniques (equivalence partitioning, boundary analysis, risk-based test prioritization) and the ability to apply them at scale.
• Experience with API testing (REST, contract testing) as part of comprehensive end-to-end coverage.
• Proficient with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows (PR review, branching strategies).

• Familiarity with performance and accessibility testing is a plus.
• Experience using Appium for cross-platform mobile UI automation is a plus.
• Background in scaling test automation within a growth-stage or fast-paced product organization is a plus.
• Experience with cloud device farms such as BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or Firebase Test Lab is a plus.
