This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Collaborate with a diverse team of developers to design, program, deploy, and support clinical applications within the IHS Resource and Patient Management System (RPMS)
β’ Create, develop, code, test, and debug intricate new software products
β’ Implement significant improvements to existing software
β’ Analyze, develop, and suggest technical solutions for client needs and moderately complex application design challenges
β’ Take into account network platform and system security requirements during application design
β’ Assist in ensuring application user interface accessibility requirements are met using best-practice and industry-standard methods
β’ Contribute to technical documentation, user manuals, system documentation, and training materials
β’ Diagnose complex issues and provide customer support for clinical applications within the IHS RPMS system
β’ Offer insights to testers to confirm software modifications
β’ Compile reports on analyses, findings, and project advancements
β’ Keep up-to-date with relevant technologies
β’ Bachelorβs degree in computer science or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
β’ Over 8 years of Software Development experience in FileMan/M/Cache
β’ General experience in information system requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing
β’ Capable of transforming design artifacts into functional code
β’ At least 3 years of experience in the healthcare industry (preferred)
β’ Advanced understanding of the VA and IHS environments, RPMS, CPRS, or legacy VISTA (preferred)
β’ Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team, adapting to shifting priorities and deadlines (preferred)
β’ Familiarity with Agile processes and the associated QA lifecycle (preferred)
β’ Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a remote/distributed team (preferred)
β’ Working knowledge of Team Foundation Server and/or Azure DevOps (preferred)
β’ Must be able to secure an appropriate level of Public Trust, necessitating residence in the U.S. for 3 of the past 5 years
β’ U.S. Citizenship is not required
