Senior Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and scale efficient, secure, and scalable systems utilizing .NET and contemporary infrastructure tools for customer-managed environments.

• Oversee the complete development process of features and services for a new deployment model, from architecture and technical design to implementation, testing, and deployment.

• Create robust, maintainable architectures that align with business objectives, incorporating strategies for packaging, configuration, licensing, upgrades, and versioning.

• Detect and resolve performance bottlenecks employing asynchronous programming, parallel processing, and profiling tools.

• Develop and support RESTful APIs, integrations, and data access layers using C#, ASP.NET Core, Web API, and Entity Framework.

• Uphold security, data protection, and compliance in accordance with SOC 2, GDPR, and ISO standards.

• Contribute to architectural and infrastructure decisions, anticipate edge cases, and provide guidance on technical trade-offs.

• Engage in code reviews, architecture discussions, and design documentation.

• Work together with Product Management, Security, DevOps, and Support teams to clarify requirements, shape features, and ensure seamless releases.

• Propel continuous enhancements in performance, maintainability, and observability.

• Mentor fellow engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence.

• Keep abreast of .NET, Azure, infrastructure, and deployment trends, recommending improved tools and practices.

• Document and convey complex technical concepts through code, design documents, and discussions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

• 8+ years of professional software development experience with C# and the .NET framework.

• Experience in developing cloud-native applications.

• Proven history of leading architecture and technical decisions.

• Strong understanding of SQL, relational database schema design, and NoSQL databases.

• Experience in automating and troubleshooting application deployments using CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with ASP.NET Core and Entity Framework.

• Proficient in C# and .NET.

• Experience with containerization and deployment tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and installers is a significant advantage.

• Experience with self-hosted, on-premises, or enterprise-deployed software is a plus.

• Capability to establish goals, manage time effectively, and remain accountable in a flexible, remote-first environment.
