Senior Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the rapid development of comprehensive features for Loopio’s platform from the ground up.

• Design and implement reusable frameworks and shared libraries.

• Create technologies aimed at bug prevention and enhancement of software quality.

• Engage with customers to collect detailed feedback.

• Collaborate with the ML team to design, integrate, and deploy AI agents and knowledge-graph functionalities.

• Contribute to Loopio’s AI strategy by assessing third-party models and establishing best practices for agentic workflows and knowledge-graph-based retrieval.

• Define technical and evaluative standards for AI-driven features.

• Mentor and guide engineers through technical direction, design considerations, and code evaluations.

• Identify, troubleshoot, and rectify software defects.

• Develop and uphold automated tests to ensure high-quality and consistent releases.

• Work in collaboration with Engineers, Product Managers, Designers, and global teams across Canada, the UK, and India.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of professional software development experience.

• Demonstrated history of designing and delivering complex software systems at scale.

• Strong backend/API development expertise in Python, Java, or PHP.

• In-depth knowledge of database design and relational database management systems such as MySQL or equivalent.

• Proficient in designing and utilizing scalable RESTful APIs.

• Experience in mentoring engineers through coaching, design, and code reviews.

• Familiarity with AI technologies, including agents, large language models (LLMs), embeddings, or natural language processing.

• Comfortable with the integration or use of modern AI APIs.

• Ability to steer technical design discussions and facilitate decision-making processes.

• Experience in designing and utilizing RESTful APIs and integrating with third-party systems.

• Frontend development experience with React and JavaScript.

• Familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure and services such as EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, ECS/Fargate, and Lambda.

• Knowledge of Typescript, Cypress, Elasticsearch, semantic search, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and third-party app integration is a plus.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in India without employer sponsorship.

• Expected to work from 11 am to 7:30 pm IST.
