Contract Software Engineer – WebCompat Tooling, Dashboards and Reporting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance WebCompat dashboards for triage, reporting, and metrics.

• Optimize the screenshot capture and pipeline for broken-site reports.

• Collaborate with the WebCompat team, including QA, to transform reporting and triage requirements into dependable tools.

• Create and refine internal tools that assist the WebCompat program in triaging and prioritizing site disruptions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong web development proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Python, and Django, along with experience in constructing dashboards/data visualizations.

• Familiarity with tools, automation, and web services.

• Self-motivated, with excellent written communication skills.

• Must reside in the Eastern Time Zone of the US or Canada.

• Knowledge of WebCompat workflows and Bugzilla is preferred.

• Experience with screenshot and automation pipelines is a plus.

• Background in Machine Learning is advantageous.
