Senior Site Contract Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize contracts with study sites.

• Negotiate investigator grant budgets and contractual terms within approved limits.

• Ensure adherence to negotiation parameters, approvals, contractual processes, budgets, templates, and client expectations.

• Identify and evaluate legal, financial, and operational risks, escalating issues as needed.

• Provide suggestions and alternative solutions for Investigator Contracts negotiations.

• Coordinate with internal functional departments regarding site startup activities and timelines.

• Align contract negotiations with the critical path for site activation.

• Meet target cycle times for site activations.

• Track and report as necessary.

• Train and mentor junior staff members.

• Participate in country process improvement initiatives and team meetings.

• Serve as the country subject matter expert for Investigator Contracts training materials.

• Collaborate with Global Site Contracts to ensure compliance with global processes and corporate directives.

• Conduct periodic quality reviews and peer feedback reports.

• Lead amendment/novation client projects when necessary.

• Oversee confidentiality agreement negotiations when required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent relevant formal academic/vocational qualification.

• Over 5 years of related experience.

• Understanding of contract law, including business, intellectual property, local tax, and stamp laws.

• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in both English and the local language.

• Capability to negotiate investigator grant budgets within approved parameters.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.

• Familiarity with pharmaceutical product development and the role of CROs.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

• Working knowledge of PPD SOPs and WPDs.

• Proficient in managing competing priorities and contractual risks.

• Competency in using automated systems and computerized applications.

• Customer-focused communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

• Capability to train and mentor team members.

• Ability to provide constructive feedback to Investigator Analysts.

• Strong risk analysis and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to negotiate Investigator Contracts in the best interests of both the company and client.

• Capability to work upright and/or stationary for 6–8 hours a day.

• Frequent mobility; occasional crouching, stooping, bending, and twisting.

• Ability to lift and carry weights of 15–20 lbs.
