This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver hands-on platform engineering services for a Federal Agency.
• Design, develop, debug, and enhance ServiceNow platform functionalities based on approved user stories and technical specifications.
• Conduct complex Tier 3 remediation and root-cause analysis for application logic, scripts, failed automations, performance challenges, integrations, and production defects.
• Create server-side and client-side ServiceNow logic using JavaScript/Glide APIs and sanctioned platform capabilities.
• Design and execute reusable enterprise integrations employing REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, integration actions, service accounts, certificates/credentials, and observability patterns.
• Construct scoped/low-code applications, catalog items, workflows, portals/workspaces, and reusable components while ensuring upgradeability.
• Utilize source control, update sets/application repositories, CI/CD, code scanning, debugging/profiling, and automated testing to validate modifications.
• Collaborate with the Chief Technology Architect on design/code reviews and with the Tester on ATF/regression coverage, performance validation, rollback readiness, and post-deployment verification.
• Offer early-window engineering support during incidents and releases.
• Assist with platform security remediation, data-quality enhancements, Health Scan/technical-debt initiatives, and restoration towards out-of-the-box standards.
• Maintain technical documentation, code comments, release notes, knowledge articles, and transition materials.
• A minimum of five years of ServiceNow development experience in enterprise settings.
• Proficient in ServiceNow JavaScript/Glide development.
• Experience with Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, ACLs, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, scoped applications, catalog/workflow development, and ServiceNow APIs.
• Proven experience in developing and troubleshooting enterprise integrations using REST/SOAP, MID Servers, OAuth/service accounts, and reusable integration frameworks.
• Familiarity with source control, CI/CD, code scanning, ATF or other automated testing, debugging/profiling, and regulated release promotion.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is required.
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification is required.
• Relevant CIS certification is strongly preferred.
• Understanding of ServiceNow performance, security, upgradeability, data modeling, and technical-debt factors.
• Capability to support the assigned early engineering window and scheduled after-hours/on-call events.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to meet High Risk IT background investigation and sensitive information requirements.
• Experience in federal consulting or financial regulatory environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with App Engine Studio, UI Builder/Workspace, ITOM/CMDB, SPM, Performance Analytics, or SecOps capabilities is preferred.
• Experience in modernizing custom ServiceNow solutions towards reusable out-of-the-box platform patterns is preferred.
