Senior SEND Tribunal and Assessment Review Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Coordinate responses to SEND tribunal appeals, including the preparation of legal documentation and evidence collection.

• Represent the local authority during tribunal hearings.

• Organize and facilitate mediation meetings between families and the local authority.

• Ensure adherence to the SEND Code of Practice, tribunal procedures, and statutory timelines.

• Communicate with parents/carers, legal representatives, schools, and internal teams to manage disputes effectively.

• Provide specialized advice to colleagues regarding tribunal and mediation processes.

• Keep precise records of cases and outcomes, aiding in service enhancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Comprehensive understanding of SEND legislation and tribunal procedures.

• Prior experience working in a Local Authority is essential.

• Proven experience with SEN assessment and review processes is required.

• A general education qualification is mandatory.

• A basic DBS check is required.

• A valid driving license is necessary.

• Commitment to 37 hours per week.

• Availability for a 2–3 month contract.
