Senior Security Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Create scripts and applications using Python.

• Evaluate data and workflows to uncover automation possibilities.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to establish requirements and offer time estimates.

• Develop rapid proofs of concept to assess ideas.

• Generate metrics that illustrate the impact of automation.

• Oversee applications and resolve errors as they arise.

• Provide on-call support for applications as necessary.

• Examine efficiency prospects and automate processes within Security Operations.

• Partner with stakeholders focused on detecting phishing, brand misuse, and cyber threats.

• Measure efficiency improvements using metrics.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or 2-3 years of software development experience.

• 4-5 years of experience in data analysis utilizing SQL.

• Knowledge of joins, indexes, query optimization, and relational table design.

• 4-5 years of experience scripting in Python.

• Familiarity with Flask, library creation, Python packaging, and CI/CD processes.

• 3-4 years of experience within the Cybersecurity field.

• Understanding of DNS, Proxies, Whois, and SSL.

• Capability to analyze operational workflows and identify automation opportunities.

• Awareness of phishing, brand misuse, and cyber threats.

• Comprehension of automation tools such as APIs and device emulation.

• Ability to meet with stakeholders to clarify requirements.

• Willingness to provide on-call support for applications outside of regular hours in case of failures.
