Mid-Level Security Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Oversee and improve ARTRANS AWS cloud environments and the DevSecOps platform.

• Establish and manage security protocols for ARTRANS DevSecOps pipelines and AWS GovCloud accounts.

• Ensure adherence to NIST SP 800-53 Rev 5 standards through the Risk Management Framework (RMF).

• Incorporate RMF requirements and security measures into the DevSecOps pipeline for ongoing security and compliance.

• Administer and enhance AWS GovCloud infrastructure utilizing Terraform.

• Implement and refresh infrastructure, platform services, and application configurations using Terraform, Helm, and YAML manifests.

• Identify and address issues in AWS Security Hub.

• Carry out infrastructure modifications via approved code repositories and CI/CD pipelines.

• Create solutions for RMF risk assessments and develop Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).

• Integrate security measures within Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) methodologies.

• Suggest risk-reduction strategies.

• Evaluate and recommend tools and platform capabilities that align with Zero Trust architecture and RMF security requirements.

• Detect and resolve configuration drift in Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes, and AWS environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• An active Secret clearance is a prerequisite.

• An associate degree coupled with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or 8 years of continuous relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.

• Possession of DCWF 8140, IAT Level II certification, such as Security+ CE.

• Strong knowledge of AWS GovCloud environments.

• Proven expertise with Terraform, Helm, YAML, and Kubernetes.

• Background in AWS Security Hub and addressing cloud-security issues.
