Senior SDET Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the comprehensive quality engineering vision, strategy, and roadmap across various product lines in Commerce & Payments.

• Set quality gates, define release readiness criteria, and integrate CI/CD into the quality process.

• Foster a shift-left, shift-right quality culture by incorporating testability into design reviews and leveraging production observability.

• Perform architectural reviews to pinpoint scalability, reliability, and performance risks.

• Assess and choose scalable test automation tools, frameworks, and platforms.

• Spearhead the adoption of AI in quality engineering to enhance coverage, productivity, and defect prediction.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, DevOps, and Security leadership on quality and release goals.

• Deliver quality updates, metrics, and strategic insights to executive leadership.

• Define, establish, and track quality and productivity KPIs/OKRs.

• Guide succession planning and mentor SDET Managers and Leads.

• Work with Product divisions to create quality plans and monitor end-to-end scenario health throughout the SDLC.

• Author, validate, and certify Commerce releases for both internal and external customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in software testing/quality engineering.

• More than 5 years of senior engineering leadership experience managing teams across complex products.

• Capability to oversee quality strategy and reliability outcomes across multiple teams.

• Proficiency in test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, and RestAssured.

• Strong skills in Java, Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Harness CI/CD.

• Understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.

• Hands-on experience in developing AI/ML-based testing tools that enhance coverage and productivity.

• Experience in performance testing, security testing, and other non-functional quality attributes.

• Background in architecting test strategies for microservices, distributed systems, and mobile platforms.

• Preferred: experience testing high-transaction SaaS platforms like CRM, Payments, Automation, Email, or Fintech.

• Preferred: experience in building and testing AI products using Agentic AI, including evaluation frameworks.
