Senior QA Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance test automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API-driven distributed systems.

• Incorporate automated quality checkpoints into CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.

• Propel comprehensive quality strategies and test coverage through risk-based testing plans.

• Assess functional accuracy, microservices interactions, system robustness, and edge scenarios.

• Spearhead performance and API validation projects, including contract, load, and stress testing.

• Employ tools like Postman, REST Assured, k6, or JMeter.

• Collaborate with product managers and software engineers to refine user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Promote defect prevention and address root causes effectively.

• Provide mentorship to mid-level engineers on automation best practices, clean coding, and exploratory testing.

⛳️ Requirements

• More than 5 years of experience in software quality engineering (60 months), with a focus on architecting, implementing, and maintaining automated testing suites in agile settings.

• Advanced skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java.

• Familiarity with Playwright, Cypress, or Appium.

• Expertise in API and backend testing, covering RESTful and GraphQL endpoints, contract testing, asynchronous message queues, and SQL/NoSQL databases.

• Solid understanding of DevOps and CI/CD methodologies.

• Experience with Docker and cloud-based test environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Capability to independently oversee quality lifecycles and pinpoint architectural bottlenecks.

• Outstanding professional communication skills in English at a C1/advanced level.

• Ability to engage directly with North American stakeholders and champion quality standards.
