Senior SDET – Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and execute scalable automated testing frameworks for intricate data pipelines, processing workflows, and machine learning models.

• Formulate testing strategies that encompass data quality, schema integrity, data drift, model accuracy, bias, and regression.

• Assess large-scale distributed data systems for precision, dependability, performance, and resilience.

• Collaborate with engineering, data science, and operations teams to integrate quality throughout the software development and delivery lifecycle.

• Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and risks in new features, data outputs, and machine learning workflows.

• Establish continuous validation within automated development and deployment processes.

• Examine production data and model failures, determine root causes, and assist in driving resolutions.

• Guide junior SDETs and contribute to testing strategies, standards, and best practices in quality engineering.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

• Generally 6–8 years of software testing experience, including a minimum of 3 years dedicated to data platform or machine learning testing.

• Proficient programming skills and experience in building and sustaining automated testing frameworks.

• Practical experience in testing complex data platforms, pipelines, and distributed data processing systems.

• Strong grasp of data validation, data quality, integrity, consistency, and schema validation.

• Familiarity with machine learning concepts, workflows, and model evaluation techniques.

• Experience in developing automated validation methods for data and machine learning systems.

• Profound understanding of continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure automation practices.

• Capability to troubleshoot complex data and model failures and participate in root cause analysis.

• Ability to work collaboratively across engineering, data science, and operations teams.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to mentor fellow quality engineers and contribute to collective testing standards and best practices.
