Senior Scrum Master

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute the responsibilities of a Scrum Master for multiple teams.

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and eliminate impediments.

• Guide and mentor teams in achieving self-organization through Scrum or Kanban methodologies.

• Promote informed decision-making and ensure alignment with project priorities.

• Encourage collaboration across various functions and manage interdependencies.

• Conduct retrospectives and feedback sessions to support continuous enhancement.

• Oversee Azure DevOps boards and implement established processes.

• Analyze performance data and devise solutions to boost team productivity.

• Provide monthly project updates that track the team's development roadmap.

• Champion automation to simplify repetitive tasks and enhance efficiency.

• Manage resource allocation, capacity, utilization, constraints, and bottlenecks.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to outline project objectives, scope, and timelines.

• Adjust plans and priorities as required by changing project demands.

• Coordinate activities among team members and key stakeholders.

• Act as a liaison between technical delivery teams and stakeholders.

• Deliver updates on project and development progress, including milestones and challenges.

• Maintain technical documentation in collaboration with Product Owners, Technical Writers, and software developers.

• Identify project risks and formulate mitigation strategies.

• Address challenges and obstacles that impact product delivery.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or technical institution, or a comparable combination of education and experience.

• Over 5 years of industry experience or relevant expertise.

• Typically at least 1 year in an Associate-level position or an external equivalent.

• Strong grasp of software development life cycle models.

• Comprehensive knowledge of agile and traditional project management methodologies.

• Prior experience with Scrum/Agile in enterprise-level application development projects.

• Agile certifications such as PMI-ACP, CSM, or SAFe are advantageous.

• Experience managing multifunctional project teams of 10–15 members, including Developers, Business Analysts, and QA personnel.

• Proficiency in using Azure DevOps or Jira for task management.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Experience with Project Portfolio Management tools is a plus.

• Experience working in a remote environment.
