Senior Scrum Master

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Set objectives and create plans that align with Program Increment (PI) goals

• Guide technical teams and Product Owners on Agile methodologies, including the development of Epics and User Stories, Scrum, and Kanban

• Manage expectations among various Product Owners

• Engage in client negotiations and interact with senior management

• Provide leadership on significant tasks or technology projects

• Enhance communication among team members to pinpoint dependencies and risks, along with offering mitigation strategies

• Organize and lead Scrum ceremonies such as daily standups, Sprint Planning/Grooming, Sprint Reviews/Demos, and Retrospectives

• Oversee the maintenance of JIRA and other information radiators

• Mentor and coach team members on Agile values, principles, practices, and processes

• Empower teams to become self-organizing and self-managing

• Collaborate with Product Management to develop release plans and ensure backlogs are well-groomed, prioritized, and visible

• Inspire teams and promote collective accountability for analysis, development, testing, documentation, and other committed tasks

• Identify, address, and communicate project risks, dependencies, and obstacles

• Ensure the definition of "done" is established at the story, sprint, and release levels

• Facilitate discussions, decision-making, productivity, and conflict resolution

• Protect the team from external distractions

• Assist with both internal and external communications to enhance transparency

• Foster a trusting and safe environment focused on problem-solving

• Evaluate Scrum maturity and guide teams towards sustainable advancements

• Suggest modifications to delivery practices and advocate for continuous improvement

• Participate in Scrum of Scrum meetings to encourage cross-team collaboration and coordination

• Build and maintain robust working relationships with stakeholders, including customers

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five (5+) years of experience within an Agile development setting

• Proficient in using and implementing the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

• Capability to manage multiple projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment that often necessitates multitasking

• Experience in software development or within a software development organization

• Ability to cultivate, maintain, and enhance team dynamics and collaboration

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Agile Certified Scrum Master (PMI-ACP)

• Strong skills in influence, collaboration, and negotiation

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a knack for identifying win-win solutions

• Proficient facilitation skills

• Effective coaching and mentoring capabilities

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills

• Energetic, goal-oriented, detail-oriented, proactive, innovative, hardworking, and patient
