Senior SAP Specialist – MM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Deliver expert advice on SAP MM solutions, concentrating on purchasing, inventory/warehouse management, and associated integrations.

• Take responsibility for resolving tickets and efficiently addressing issues.

• Work in collaboration with Finance, Production Planning, and Logistics teams to troubleshoot SAP incidents and challenges.

• Offer guidance and support for SAP Ariba solutions, addressing incidents, interface complications, and transactional errors.

• Provide functional expertise and assistance for SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), including inbound and outbound processing, inventory management, warehouse monitoring, and RF/mobile warehouse operations.

• Conduct system analysis, design, and enhancements related to procurement, goods movements, and inventory processes.

• Carry out system audits and data integrity checks in accordance with SAP best practices.

• Lead SAP system upgrades and enhancements while considering dependencies with FI/CO, PP, and SD.

• Create and maintain documentation for SAP configurations, processes, and procedures.

• Guide the evaluation, selection, and configuration of procure-to-pay solutions.

• Support and uphold a clean-core initiative by utilizing SAP standard functionality and best practices.

• Implement preventive measures within SAP support processes to enhance stability and optimize supply chain operations.

• Travel regionally or internationally as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• IT / Business Degree or Equivalent.

• At least 8+ years of relevant experience in a similar SAP role (ECC 6 / S4 HANA) with hands-on application management.

• Experience in a discrete manufacturing and/or automotive setting is preferred.

• SAP & ITIL Certification is a plus.

• Understanding of the technical environment of the relevant business applications.

• Proficient in English (both verbal and written).

• Familiarity with basic project and change management procedures within IT.

• Proven extensive and senior-level experience in SAP, with a thorough understanding of Materials Management (MM), including purchasing, procurement, and inventory management.

• Knowledge and experience in three or more areas: procurement, inventory/warehouse management, production planning, sales operations, logistics, finance, and controlling.

• Practical experience supporting SAP Ariba solutions, encompassing Buying and Invoicing, Supplier Lifecycle Management (SLP), Sourcing, Catalog Management, and integrations with SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA.

• Experience in supporting SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), warehouse operations, inventory management, and related processes.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to troubleshoot complex SAP MM issues.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

• Experience in integrating SAP with other business systems, such as supplier portals, warehouse management solutions, or MES systems, along with familiarity with integration tools.
