Senior SAP PP Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Assist in enhancing SAP PP by supporting production planning and control procedures.

• Collect and assess requirements in collaboration with business teams.

• Create functional specifications and documentation for solutions.

• Engage in SAP implementation, rollout, and process improvement initiatives.

• Investigate and resolve complex incidents through troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.

• Examine production orders, bills of materials (BOMs), routings, work centers, production capacity, master production scheduling, and production versions.

• Collaborate with integrations between SAP PP and other modules and systems.

• Review interfaces, IDocs, batch jobs, and logs.

• Conduct and assist with functional debugging tasks, including ABAP code interpretation.

• Develop test cases, user acceptance testing plans, process mapping, and solution designs.

• Evaluate the effects of changes on processes and systems.

• Work alongside business users and technical teams to comprehend requirements and define appropriate solutions.

• Aid in process optimization and digital transformation efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience with SAP PP.

• Proven experience in functional support and enhancement implementation.

• Background in medium- or large-sized industrial settings.

• Proficiency in gathering requirements from business teams.

• Experience in preparing functional specifications.

• Familiarity with SAP implementation, rollout, or process enhancement projects.

• Skilled in analyzing and resolving complex incidents.

• Knowledge of functional debugging and ABAP code interpretation.

• Understanding of tables and integrations with other modules, particularly SAP MM and SAP SD.

• In-depth knowledge of SAP PP’s core processes and functionalities.

• Familiarity with production orders, BOMs, routings, work centers, production capacity, master production scheduling, production versions, shop-floor integration, IDocs, batch jobs, log analysis, troubleshooting, interfaces and integrations, functional specifications, test cases, user acceptance testing, process mapping, and solution design.

• Preferred qualifications include experience in steelmaking, mining, metallurgy, or heavy industry; knowledge of the steel production value chain; experience in continuous production and highly complex environments; expertise in optimization and digital transformation; and familiarity with SAP CO costing.
