Senior SAP EHS Functional SME

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and implement SAP solutions for Environment, Health, and Safety Management within extensive SAP S/4HANA deployments.

• Oversee the analysis, design, and configuration of SAP EHS Management, with a primary focus on Incident Management, Health and Safety, and Waste Management.

• Facilitate workshops with client EHS professionals to collect requirements and align business processes with SAP EHS capabilities.

• Advise stakeholders on system design choices related to incident management, risk assessment, and environmental compliance.

• Create functional specifications for tailored reports, interfaces, and enhancements.

• Integrate SAP EHS with SAP Plant Maintenance and Human Capital Management, collaborating with module consultants and technical teams.

• Execute configuration and support unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.

• Deliver end-user training and support to promote EHS system adoption.

• Offer functional guidance and informal mentorship to EHS consultants.

• Engage in quality assurance activities while safeguarding sensitive information in accordance with security policies.

• Carry out additional related tasks as assigned by the direct supervisor.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline with 5-7 years of relevant experience; or no degree with 7-10 years of relevant experience.

• A minimum of 5 years of practical experience with SAP EHS Management, including several full-cycle implementations.

• Comprehensive understanding of environmental, health, and safety business processes.

• Excellent client-facing abilities and a knack for guiding business stakeholders through intricate system design decisions.

• Capability to work within a cross-functional project team alongside module consultants and technical teams.

• Experience in developing functional specifications and supporting unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.

• SAP certification in S/4HANA EHS or a related SAP area, or equivalent demonstrated expertise.

• U.S. citizenship is required.

• Active Secret clearance (Tier 3 investigation) is required.

• Nice to have: SAP S/4HANA EHS, experience in public sector or highly regulated environments, DoD ERP/U.S. Navy experience, SAP EHS integrations with PM and HCM/SuccessFactors, CSP or CHMM credentials, familiarity with SAP Activate methodology.
