
Senior Sales Executive, Small Law

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Retain and expand the current account portfolio while acquiring new clients within the designated territory.
• Oversee a client base of roughly 800+ accounts primarily in firms with 1–10 attorneys.
• Engage and collaborate with clients through phone and in-person interactions to foster trust and develop mutually beneficial solutions.
• Discover additional sales prospects and navigate through customer organizational structures.
• Prioritize territory needs, manage requirements, oversee renewals, and pursue sales opportunities.
• Build credibility and trust with users, key stakeholders, managers, and executives at client locations.
• Work alongside internal team members to meet shared objectives.
• Maintain extensive knowledge of Thomson Reuters products, the legal sector, and the legal publishing landscape.
• Achieve monthly sales and renewal objectives through client visits and telephone meetings.
• Present Small Law products to clients effectively.
• Gather and share market intelligence and penetration data for the territory.
• Address customer-related concerns, including collections and complaints.
• Accurately complete weekly sales performance reports and Salesforce.com submissions on time.
• Participate in sales meetings and conventions as necessary.
• Minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience, encompassing both telephone and field sales.
• Familiarity with sales concepts, methods, and techniques.
• Driven self-starter with high levels of energy and motivation.
• Strong communication and closing abilities.
• Efficient time management skills.
• Capacity to maintain a realistically positive outlook in sales scenarios.
• Capable of working from a home office and traveling to customer locations as required.
• High proficiency in internet, periodical, and internal prospecting.
• Competent database management skills.
• A 4-year college degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Experience in the legal industry is preferred.
• Experience in Software as a Service (SaaS) sales is an advantage.
