Senior Research Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Define and guide the scientific roadmap for foundation models in medical imaging as part of the ML Capabilities program.

• Monitor and assess advancements in machine learning and generative AI that are pertinent to radiology and multimodal imaging.

• Create and prototype innovative model architectures tailored for multimodal medical imaging data.

• Develop experimental systems to test research hypotheses and evaluate progress towards scientific objectives.

• Establish and uphold benchmarking frameworks across downstream clinical and technical tasks.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to convert research advancements into implementable solutions.

• Lead the production of scientific publications and contributions to conferences that convey DeepHealth research outcomes.

• Engage with external research partners, including collaborators from Imperial College London.

• Mentor researchers and help uphold research quality standards.

• Document methodologies, experiments, and findings to facilitate reproducibility, review, and knowledge transfer.

⛳️ Requirements

• PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related field (mandatory).

• Strong publication record at leading machine learning conferences, such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR (mandatory).

• Proficiency in deep learning and generative models (mandatory).

• Experience in designing and evaluating machine learning systems (mandatory).

• Familiarity with multimodal learning (preferred).

• Background in medical imaging or healthcare AI (preferred).

• Experience in mentoring or leading research initiatives (preferred).

• Adhere to data privacy, compliance, safety, and confidentiality standards.

• Comply with all local, regional, and national employment laws, along with DeepHealth policies and procedures.
