This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Accountable for Reliability Systems Engineering and the management of technical risks associated with complex systems and components.

• Design and implement concepts aimed at enhancing reliability.

• Conduct reliability analyses and compute failure rates, probabilities of failure, and predictions of product lifespan.

• Utilize Weibull analyses, Weibayes methodologies, Monte Carlo simulations, and S–N (Wöhler) curves.

• Develop and assess FMEA/FMECA analyses.

• Investigate damage mechanisms, degradation effects, and corrosion processes as part of Physics-of-Failure studies.

• Evaluate the reliability of materials, electronic components, and assemblies.

• Collaborate on reliability initiatives with internal expert departments, international clients, and suppliers.

• Assist cross-functional teams in conducting root-cause analyses for customer complaints and field failures.

• Advance reliability models and establish optimization strategies.

• Work in accordance with IEC standards and relevant industry reliability standards.

• Employ Python, MATLAB, or Excel/VBA for modeling and data analysis.


⛳️ Requirements

• A completed degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

• Several years of professional experience in Reliability Engineering, Systems Engineering, or the technical development of intricate systems.

• Strong knowledge of reliability engineering, statistical methodologies, and technical risk management.

• Expertise in FMEA/FMECA, Root Cause Analysis, and other risk and failure analysis techniques.

• Familiarity with Weibull distributions, Weibayes methods, shape parameters, and probabilistic reliability models.

• Understanding of S–N (Wöhler) curves, lifetime calculations, and reliability demonstrations.

• Knowledge of failure mechanisms affecting mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.

• Experience evaluating corrosion, material fatigue, and aging processes.

• Ideally, experience with Monte Carlo simulations and the development and refinement of reliability models.

• Proficient user of Python, MATLAB, or Excel/VBA.

• Excellent command of German and English, both spoken and written.

• Strong analytical skills, a structured approach to work, and exceptional communication and teamwork abilities.
