DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Indonesia.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure across platforms such as GCP, Azure, and AWS.

• Oversee and enhance compute environments, including Virtual Machines, Cloud Run, and container orchestration systems.

• Create scalable, multi-region architectures that emphasize high availability, redundancy, and robust security practices.

• Supervise and track cloud storage solutions like GCP Cloud Storage, Azure Blob Storage, and AWS S3.

• Develop, deploy, and manage containers utilizing Docker.

• Deploy and oversee services on Kubernetes, including GKE, AKS, and EKS.

• Apply auto-scaling techniques, load balancing, and autoschedulers.

• Enhance resource usage and cost-effectiveness across various environments.

• Construct and uphold CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab, or equivalent tools.

• Automate deployment processes, updates, rollbacks, and environment setup.

• Generate infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or Pulumi.

• Configure VPCs, VPNs, firewalls, DNS, subnets, and secure routing protocols.

• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Cloud Logging, Azure Monitor, and CloudWatch.

• Ensure adherence to compliance, data protection, and identity management across cloud environments.

• Collaborate with Firebase Authentication, secure API gateways, and IAM policies.

• Partner with engineers to facilitate API development and deployments.

• Optimize server environments operating in Cloud Run or VMs.

• Establish failover systems, disaster recovery plans, and backup strategies.

• Guarantee the reliable operation of SES/SendGrid, databases, and microservices.

• Collaborate with backend, AI, and product teams to support rapid iterations.

• Set up DevOps best practices, guidelines, and internal documentation.

• Conduct root-cause analyses, implement solutions, and prevent future incidents.

• Enhance engineering processes, scalability, and system observability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer.

• Extensive experience with GCP, Azure, and/or AWS; multi-cloud expertise is highly advantageous.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Cloud Run, and delivery of container-based applications.

• Proficient in CI/CD tools and automation frameworks.

• Strong grasp of networking, firewalls, DNS, and cloud security models.

• Experience with VM deployment, Cloud Run (or similar), autoscaling, and optimization of infrastructure.

• Solid understanding of cloud storage solutions including Blob, S3, and Cloud Storage.

• Familiarity with Authentication, IAM, or identity systems is an advantage.

• Knowledge of API architecture, microservices, and distributed systems.

• Experience with Terraform, Pulumi, or other infrastructure-as-code tools.

• Bonus: Experience with observability stacks, FinOps cost optimization, or AI infrastructure.

• Strong problem-solving skills in dynamic environments.

• Comfortable taking ownership of systems end-to-end and proactively enhancing processes.
