This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Formulate and execute strategies to optimize the use of Abbott Cancer Diagnostics products within designated accounts while adhering to budgetary constraints.
• Align with corporate goals and convey essential sales messages effectively.
• Deliver exemplary customer service as a premier provider of assays.
• Cultivate customer relationships through clinical and scientific knowledge, stakeholder insights, and a consultative sales approach.
• Identify and address clinical and political challenges related to the territory.
• Supply vital sales data and provide direct feedback to national, regional, and area teams.
• Collaborate with managed care, reimbursement teams, patients, support groups, advocacy groups, and healthcare providers to ensure product accessibility.
• Achieve or surpass sales targets through in-person interactions and meetings with healthcare professionals and staff.
• Promote and sell company products and services, establish new accounts, and enhance existing accounts.
• Strategically manage, plan, and execute territory activities.
• Propel growth by leveraging knowledge of disease states, competition, and external business factors.
• Complete training programs and engage with genomic testing and Precision Oncology products.
• Maintain technical proficiency regarding disease states, products, and competition to influence physicians and other key stakeholders.
• Build relationships with national opinion leaders in oncology and pathology.
• Ensure consistent communication with internal staff, management, and clients.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Business Management, Marketing, Science, or a related field, or 4 years of relevant experience in place of a degree.
• Over 5 years of sales experience with a proven track record of success in selling or promoting complex products in medical oncology and/or diagnostics, or equivalent experience in complex healthcare product sales.
• At least 3 years of medical sales experience in specialized areas such as Buy & Bill, Medical Device, or highly clinical fields like urology, cardiology, or GI.
• Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in a competitive market.
• Must possess a valid driver's license; no suspended, revoked, surrendered, or invalid licenses permitted.
• No more than two moving violations, events, or accidents in the last 36 months.
• No alcohol or drug-related driving incidents in the past 36 months.
• No other Motor Vehicle Record results that would expose the company to significant liability.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship is required.
• Preferred: Clinical experience.
• Preferred: Over 1 year of experience in oncology sales, specifically regarding chemo/immunotherapy or oncology diagnostics.
• Preferred: Established relationships within oncology accounts in the territory.
• Preferred: Experience selling to surgeons and cancer treatment centers.
• Preferred: Background in NextGen Sequencing, Minimal Residual Disease, comprehensive genomic profiling, liquid biopsy, and/or hereditary cancer.
