📋 Description

• Act as the main technical point of contact for designated opportunities throughout the Americas prior to formal proposal submission.

• Lead technical interactions with clients, developers, EPCs, utilities, IPPs, and strategic collaborators.

• Identify and propose optimal technical solutions and positioning strategies, favoring standardized, actionable offerings.

• Refine opportunities by detailing configurations, scope boundaries, client requirements, and technical/commercial risks.

• Recognize alignment with standard product offerings and convey risks associated with deviations.

• Assist in discussions regarding power plant architecture and value considerations, including cycle selection, gas turbine pathways, phased buildout, redundancy, efficiency, speed-to-power, emissions, permitting, footprint, black start, islanding, and grid integration.

• Participate in data center power generation conversations regarding onsite generation, architectural trade-offs, scheduling certainty, load growth, resilience, efficiency, and standardization.

• Utilize plant performance and thermodynamic modeling tools to assess thermal power configurations such as simple cycle, combined cycle, CHP, and CCS.

• Conduct or oversee configuration optimization and high-level lifecycle/economic value evaluations.

• Work in collaboration with Sales, Product Line, Value Solutions Leaders, Application Engineering, and other departments.

• Coordinate with related technical teams, including aeroderivative specialists.

• Provide technical content and support for customer presentations, workshops, and strategic discussions.

• Address pre-RFP technical inquiries regarding permitting, emissions, interconnection, and preliminary design basis.

• Relay opportunity background, recommended configurations, assumptions, risks, customer expectations, and approvals to proposal and execution teams.

• Collect market intelligence, competitor insights, and customer feedback.

• Provide voice-of-customer and market feedback to engineering, product, and commercial teams.

• Promote a Lean operating culture by minimizing rework, enhancing early clarity, and reinforcing standard practices.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.

• Substantial experience in thermal power generation, gas turbine applications, power plant engineering, project development, proposal engineering, commercial operations, or customer application engineering.

• Technical and/or commercial experience with heavy-duty gas turbines.

• Familiarity with combined cycle or simple cycle plant configurations.

• Experience with steam turbine/generator/HRSG integration.

• Background in thermal plant development and assessment.

• Knowledge of data center development, architecture, behind-the-meter power, infrastructure, and economics.

• Experience engaging with customers or commercial teams in technical discussions that influence project direction, equipment selection, or plant architecture.

• Capability to evaluate technical requirements, customer goals, and business constraints and transform them into feasible solution recommendations.

• Willingness and ability to travel regularly across the Americas, approximately 20% or as business needs require.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Strong understanding of GE Vernova Gas Power products, plant configurations, and the overall power generation value chain.

• In-depth knowledge of power plant thermodynamics, plant performance analysis, and technical configuration trade-offs.

• Experience with economic evaluation, lifecycle cost analysis, and customer value-based technical positioning.

• Ability to link technical architecture decisions to schedule, risk, cost, and long-term asset value.

• Familiarity with data center power generation opportunity development and related architectural trade-offs.

• Proficiency in assessing and articulating value trades in early-stage power generation decisions.

• Strong systems thinking and analytical problem-solving skills.

• Comprehensive understanding of market trends, competitor positioning, and evolving customer needs.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across regional and global teams in a highly matrixed environment.

• Lean mindset focused on clarity, standardization, workflow, and minimizing non-value-added activities.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, as applicable.
