Sales & Applications Engineer – Evaporative Media

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Offer technical leadership for evaporative media products, water management systems, customer applications, and product development projects.

• Assist with strategic initiatives, customer-facing technical inquiries, certification processes, research activities, and cross-functional engineering teams.

• Act as the technical lead for engineering requests from customers.

• Deliver technical insights on water treatment, chlorine dosing, media performance, air density calculations, damage criteria, and product certifications.

• Create technical reports, calculations, and recommendations tailored for clients.

• Execute product performance assessments, modeling, and validation testing.

• Engage in research efforts related to filtration, water treatment, and sustainability with a focus on customer solutions.

• Contribute to the development of new technologies, competitive products, and emerging market prospects driven by customer demands.

• Lead initiatives related to water quality and conduct water treatment studies.

• Support Zero Discharge initiatives, sustainability programs, and corporate water conservation efforts.

• Assess water modeling software and treatment techniques.

• Collaborate with external laboratories, consultants, and regulatory bodies.

• Assist in product certification and testing programs.

• Oversee fire-rating and third-party approval initiatives.

• Participate in ASHRAE technical committees and industry standards activities.

• Stay informed about regulatory requirements affecting evaporative cooling products.

• Provide support to R&D, Quality, Sales, Product Management, and Engineering teams.

• Organize testing activities and technical investigations.

• Help resolve issues and conduct root cause analysis.

• Offer technical training and mentorship as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of engineering experience in HVAC, cooling technologies, water treatment, thermal systems, or industrial product development.

• Proficiency in engineering calculations and data analysis.

• Understanding of water chemistry and treatment principles.

• Skilled in technical report writing.

• Experience in product testing and validation.

• Strong project management capabilities.

• Customer-facing engineering support experience.

• A Master's degree is preferred.

• Preferred experience includes evaporative cooling systems, data center cooling applications, heat transfer and thermodynamics, participation in ASHRAE and WateReuse, product certification programs, CFD, modeling tools or performance simulation software, and patent review or intellectual property support.
