Senior Quality Assurance Tester/Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with product, development, and IT teams to gather hardware/software requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Design, develop, and implement comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews.

• Execute functional, performance, reliability, and compatibility testing on hardware asset-management functions and workflows.

• Validate both automated and manually maintained hardware-asset data.

• Conduct functional, regression, integration, system, and user-acceptance testing for software asset-management functionality.

• Identify, analyze, document, and manage defects throughout their lifecycle.

• Validate the ServiceNow SAM Pro software for discovery, reconciliation, license compliance, entitlement management, contracts, usage data, and reporting.

• Validate the ServiceNow HAM hardware-asset lifecycle, ensuring data accuracy and integrations with procurement, CMDB, and discovery tools.

• Verify data integrity across SAM Pro, HAM, and CMDB.

• Test custom ServiceNow ITAM workflows, reports, and integrations.

• Utilize Jira or ServiceNow ITSM to monitor defects.

• Generate test reports detailing progress, defect status, and product quality.

• Contribute to the development of automated test scripts, frameworks, and CI/CD integration.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess an active DoD secret clearance.

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience (a Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field may substitute for 5 years of experience).

• At least 5 years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance or Software/Hardware Testing roles.

• Hands-on experience in testing both hardware and software systems.

• Minimum of 2 years dedicated to ServiceNow testing experience, including SAM Pro and HAM modules.

• Strong comprehension of IT Asset Management principles and best practices.

• Expertise in functional, non-functional, integration, system, regression, and UAT methodologies.

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

• Proficient in using Jira or ServiceNow ITSM.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking, attention-to-detail, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

• Desired qualifications: ServiceNow CIS-SAM, CIS-HAM, or CSA certifications; ITIL Foundation certification; experience with test automation tools/frameworks; proficiency in Python, Selenium, Robot Framework, Postman/Newman; knowledge of JavaScript, Python, PowerShell; understanding of database concepts and SQL; prior experience in government contracting.
