Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Craft and execute thorough testing strategies, plans, and cases for functional and end-to-end workflows.

• Create and sustain automated tests utilizing Playwright and Python.

• Conduct API, UI, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.

• Verify backend data and analytics results using SQL.

• Test applications that are data-intensive, including data pipelines and ETL processes.

• Recognize test scenarios that are appropriate for automation based on risk, business impact, and coverage.

• Connect automated tests with CI/CD pipelines like Jenkins.

• Analyze test failures, determine root causes, and collaborate with developers to fix issues.

• Identify, document, track, and validate defects until resolution using Jira or comparable tools.

• Conduct manual testing for scenarios that cannot be automated effectively.

• Assist in the validation and root-cause analysis of production issues.

• Work closely with Engineering, Product, and Analytics teams to comprehend requirements and guarantee product quality.

• Engage in code reviews and offer feedback to enhance testability and overall software quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in QA automation or SDET positions.

• Solid hands-on experience with Playwright.

• Proficient programming skills in Python.

• Extensive experience in API and UI testing.

• Background in testing data-heavy, analytics, or SaaS applications.

• Strong SQL skills for backend and data validation.

• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development practices.

• Practical experience in integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.

• In-depth understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and continuous integration practices.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a capacity to work independently.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

• Preferred: Experience with pytest.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Ginkgo/Go and BDD-style testing.

• Preferred: Experience with Golang.

• Preferred: Knowledge of ETL/data pipeline testing.

• Preferred: Experience with AWS, Terraform, and VPC.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Jenkins or similar CI tools.

• Preferred: Experience with Jira or similar defect management systems.
