Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create and execute thorough testing strategies, plans, and cases for both functional and end-to-end processes.

• Design and sustain automated tests utilizing Playwright and Python.

• Conduct API, UI, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.

• Verify backend data and analytics results using SQL.

• Assess data-centric applications, including data pipelines and ETL processes.

• Determine test scenarios that are appropriate for automation based on risk assessment, business significance, and coverage.

• Connect automated tests with CI/CD pipelines, such as Jenkins.

• Analyze test failures, pinpoint root causes, and collaborate closely with developers to address issues.

• Identify, document, monitor, and validate defects until resolution using Jira or similar platforms.

• Execute manual testing for scenarios that cannot be effectively automated.

• Assist in the validation and root-cause analysis of production challenges.

• Work alongside Engineering, Product, and Analytics teams to comprehend requirements and guarantee product excellence.

• Engage in code reviews and offer feedback to enhance testability and overall software quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in QA automation or SDET roles.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Playwright.

• Strong programming proficiency in Python.

• Significant experience with API and UI testing.

• Background in testing data-intensive, analytics, or SaaS applications.

• Proficient SQL skills for backend/data validation.

• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development practices.

• Practical experience in integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.

• Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and continuous integration practices.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to work independently.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

• Experience with pytest is preferred.

• Familiarity with Ginkgo / Go and BDD-style testing is preferred.

• Experience with Golang is preferred.

• Background in ETL/data pipeline testing is preferred.

• Experience with AWS, Terraform, and VPC is preferred.

• Familiarity with Jenkins or similar CI tools is preferred.

• Experience with Jira or similar defect management tools is preferred.
