Senior QA Engineer – SDET

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of automation systems and quality assurance tasks from the initiation of projects through to their release, ongoing maintenance, and enhancements.

• Develop unit, component, API, and browser tests, ensuring the correct testing layer is chosen for each associated risk.

• Create repeatable fixtures and isolated test data to validate workflow functionality and ensure data integrity.

• Collaborate with developers and product managers on testability, acceptance criteria, and unified testing methodologies.

• Troubleshoot CI failures, enhance unreliable tests, and track coverage, failures, and ongoing risks.

• Leverage AI-assisted development while independently validating the accuracy of generated code and assertions.

• Oversee system health and transform production issues into regression tests.

• Occasionally collaborate with support teams to resolve client-facing production challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven senior-level accountability in test automation or software engineering roles.

• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and React applications.

• Familiarity with Jest, Playwright, or similar modern testing frameworks.

• Capable of utilizing SQL to explore data discrepancies and validate consistent behavior in PostgreSQL or an equivalent database.

• Demonstrated experience with AI-assisted development and a systematic approach to validating generated outputs.

• Proficient in diagnosing CI and production issues through logs and tools such as Sentry or Grafana.

• Ability to take initiative and communicate effectively across various teams.
