Senior QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement test plans and cases for a new integration/middleware layer linking a partner portal to internal systems.

• Conduct API-level functional, integration, and regression testing.

• Assess synchronous and asynchronous (event-driven) processes, including error handling and retry/dead-letter scenarios.

• Work in conjunction with the Business Analyst to convert documented business flows into test scenarios.

• Record, monitor, and confirm defect resolution across different environments (Development → QA → UAT → Production).

• Assist in the automation of API test suites when applicable.

• Verify security and access-control functionalities (authentication, authorization, data segregation).

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of QA experience, emphasizing API/backend testing and independent ownership of test strategies.

• Proficient in testing REST APIs (using Postman or similar tools).

• Skilled in writing and updating structured test cases and test plans.

• Knowledgeable about CI/CD pipelines and testing within a GitLab CI (or similar) workflow.

• Experience in the mortgage, lending, or financial services sector.

• Strong English communication skills (B2+) — involved in daily collaboration with a US-based team.
