Senior QA Automation Engineer – AQA/SDET

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing for backend/API and frontend services as well as data-processing systems within the blockchain sector.

• Generate test coverage for API, integration, contracts, and data validation.

• Evaluate edge cases, including missing data, delayed data, and incorrect calculations.

• Investigate failed tests and production-like issues by utilizing logs, metrics, monitoring dashboards, and API responses.

• Perform code reviews.

• Innovate new methodologies, architectures, or frameworks.

• Set long-term systemic planning and technical vision across various projects.

• Prioritize testing initiatives based on business requirements, project risks, and delivery schedules.

• Recognize process enhancements and enforce QA best practices.

• Assess and advocate for the adoption of AI tools in QA and development workflows.

• Establish guidelines for the use of AI tools within the QA process and assist in integrating them into team workflows.

• Collaborate with developers, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to enhance testability, observability, and service reliability.

• Maintain comprehensive test documentation, automation coverage notes, and detailed defect reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of AQA/SDET experience in testing complex backend, API, data-intensive, or distributed systems.

• Profound understanding of SOLID principles and design patterns, with practical experience applying them in test frameworks.

• Strong experience with SQL and PostgreSQL, including advanced queries, data validation, and the investigation of data inconsistencies.

• Excellent test design capabilities.

• Familiarity with backend architecture, environment-based configuration, service health checks, and deployment validation.

• Proficient in Java programming for test automation.

• Practical experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Playwright, Postman, REST-assured, or similar API-testing tools; Allure for reporting.

• Experience with version control systems, particularly GIT.

• Background in Scrum or another Agile delivery methodology.

• Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools like Cursor and Claude, including the creation of custom skills, agents, and rules for QA/development workflows.

• Hands-on experience with AI no-code tools and business process automation platforms like n8n.

• Proficiency in English.
