Senior QA Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Develop automation solutions and frameworks from the ground up, implementing maintainable, reusable, and scalable code.

• Define the architecture, standards, and best practices for Automation QA.

• Automate end-to-end tests for APIs (REST), web applications (Selenium), and mobile applications (Appium).

• Prepare and manage testing data using complex SQL queries.

• Identify manual or repetitive processes and prioritize automation opportunities based on their impact.

• Integrate and execute automated test suites within the development cycle and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.

• Define and monitor automation metrics such as coverage, flakiness, and execution times.

• Generate structured reports on test results.

• Analyze and resolve technical issues independently, proposing continuous improvements to QA strategies and processes.

• Communicate progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and provide mentorship to junior or semi-senior QAs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.

• At least 3 years of proven hands-on experience in end-to-end automation implementation.

• Experience in the design, development, and maintenance of automation frameworks built from scratch.

• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Expertise in web automation (Selenium) and solid experience in mobile automation (Appium).

• Experience in API/service automation (REST, contract validation, end-to-end testing) using Postman/Newman, RestAssured, or similar tools.

• Strong SQL skills for complex querying and data preparation/management for testing.

• Experience with testing frameworks like TestNG/JUnit, PyTest, or Jest/Mocha, as well as reporting tools (Allure, ExtentReports).

• Solid knowledge of Git (version control) and experience integrating automated suites into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.

• Experience working under Agile methodologies.

• Conversational English level B1/B2.

• Analytical profile, technically autonomous, and capable of mentoring junior/semi-senior QAs.

• A comprehensive automation profile (Full Automation) is essential; candidates focused solely on manual testing execution will not be considered.
