Senior Python Data Scraping Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of comprehensive data extraction processes across intricate websites.

• Guarantee thorough coverage, precision, and dependable delivery of structured datasets.

• Utilize existing tools and custom workflows to enhance data collection, validation, and task execution.

• Reliably extract data from dynamic and interactive web sources, including content rendered by JavaScript.

• Modify scraping techniques in response to evolving site behaviors.

• Ensure data quality through validation checks, consistency controls across sources, formatting standards, and systematic verification.

• Scale scraping operations for extensive datasets by employing efficient batching or parallel processing.

• Monitor issues and maintain stability against minor changes in site structure.

• Leverage tools such as Apify, OpenRouter, and other technologies in scraping and processing workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development.

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical fields is advantageous.

• Strong technical background and hands-on experience with scripting, automation, and data extraction workflows.

• Extensive experience in Python web scraping, including tools like BeautifulSoup, Selenium, or similar, dynamic content, and APIs via proxies.

• Capability to extract data from complex structures such as hierarchies, archived pages, and inconsistent HTML.

• Solid foundation in data cleaning, normalization, and validation processes.

• Proven experience managing anti-bot mechanisms and dynamic site structures at scale.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or similar, and containerization using Docker.

• Practical experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain, OpenRouter, or similar applied to automation tasks.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy.

• Self-motivated work ethic with the ability to troubleshoot independently.

• Proficiency in English at Upper-intermediate (B2) level or higher.
