Senior Purchasing and Design Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Oversee significant client projects with various deliverables and manage the assigned Purchasing & Design Specialists.

• Create and convey project schedules and parameters effectively.

• Achieve operational excellence and drive growth in partnership with Client Services.

• Collaborate with team members and supplier partners to develop proposals for travel projects.

• Provide mentorship and training to team members.

• Research rates and availability, and suggest suitable destinations, hotels, resorts, ships, and venues.

• Design innovative programs that optimize client budgets.

• Integrate industry trends, cutting-edge themes, concepts, activities, and events into proposals.

• Develop recommendations based on client goals, program history, attendee demographics, and budget constraints.

• Negotiate favorable supplier rates and terms on behalf of clients.

• Create solution budgets and pro formas to align with client budgetary needs and enhance profit potential.

• Execute contracts and ensure all stakeholders are aware of the terms and conditions.

• Engage in client presentations, showcasing One10's travel-related capabilities and proposed solutions.

• Assist the Client Solution Development team as required.

• Establish and nurture relationships with hotels, NSOs, DMCs, and CVBs.

• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

• At least six (6) years of industry experience.

• Capacity to perform effectively in a deadline-driven environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and advanced PowerPoint.

• Strong editing and writing capabilities.

• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Aptitude to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Exceptional customer service ethos and high standards for quality.

• Outstanding communication abilities.

• Willingness to travel and participate in presentations.
