Senior Category Manager – NE4

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Oversee both operational and strategic procurement for NE4 services within the fiber-optic network industry.

• Collaborate in the allocation of partners and projects.

• Take full responsibility for managing partners throughout the end-to-end lifecycle process.

• Implement and ensure adherence to framework agreements.

• Handle change orders and share accountability for budget compliance.

• Conduct procurement, pricing, and contract negotiations independently in both German and English.

• Prepare tenders and evaluate incoming bids in coordination with relevant departments.

• Develop procurement strategies and enhance procurement processes for NE4 services.

• Design and support initiatives to address changes in pricing, capacity, and market conditions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ideally possess knowledge of the technical specifications, various methods, and materials used in constructing fiber-optic infrastructure, particularly regarding Network Level 4 (NE4).

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in operational and strategic procurement.

• Preferably have experience in procuring NE4 services, materials, or building services engineering (TGA/MEP) for structural construction projects.

• Strong negotiation abilities and a confident, professional demeanor.

• Ideally experienced with SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP systems.

• Possess a structured and goal-oriented work approach.

• Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects and reliably complete tasks.

• Team-oriented with an open attitude toward collaboration.

• Hold a completed degree in business administration, industrial engineering, civil engineering, or electrical engineering, or equivalent vocational training.

• Fluent in both German and English for procurement, pricing, and contract negotiations.
