Senior Public Relations Consultant, Freelance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Deliver senior-level public relations guidance to clients, including C-suite executives and senior stakeholders.

• Formulate PR strategies, narratives, and media approaches that align with client goals and the local market.

• Spearhead PR strategies and media relations for corporate and brand announcements, launches, and other significant events.

• Transform client objectives into engaging stories, pitches, and opportunities for earned media.

• Manage hands-on media relations, which includes targeting media, conducting outreach, following up, and securing coverage.

• Cultivate and enhance relationships with journalists and editors throughout Singapore.

• Recognize relevant trends, news hooks, and proactive opportunities for clients.

• Tailor global and regional PR strategies to fit the Singapore market.

• Create messaging, media materials, and briefing documents as necessary.

• Engage in fast-paced workstreams and collaborate closely with a small team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience at the director level or higher in public relations and communications, preferably in an agency or consultancy setting.

• Extensive knowledge of the Singapore media landscape.

• Established connections within tier-one business, FMCG, marketing, and trade media, with additional regional relationships considered a plus.

• Proven experience in leading high-profile corporate and brand announcements from strategy development to execution.

• Strong executive presence and confidence in direct interactions with C-suite clients.

• A history of achieving significant earned media coverage.

• Excellent storytelling, writing, and media instincts.

• Capability to navigate effortlessly between strategic advisory and practical execution.

• Ability to quickly adapt, work independently, and excel in dynamic environments.
