This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Investigate, assess, negotiate, and resolve intricate property claims in line with policy coverage, regulatory standards, and company protocols.

• Perform thorough coverage assessments and make informed liability and indemnity decisions on complex and high-risk claims.

• Oversee litigated claims while collaborating with legal representatives, engineers, environmental consultants, restoration vendors, and other technical specialists.

• Analyze and interpret estimates, scopes, and reports, including XactAnalysis files, to ensure equitable and precise claim resolutions.

• Manage specialized losses such as environmental claims, oil spills, mould and asbestos issues, condominium claims, travel trailer claims, and appraisal matters.

• Identify and actively seek subrogation opportunities while efficiently managing recovery initiatives.

• Offer technical expertise, guidance, and support to claims colleagues and leadership through file evaluations and consultations on complex cases.

• Report directly to the Area Claims Manager.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in property claims adjusting, with considerable exposure to complex property losses.

• Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation is mandatory.

• A valid New Brunswick Adjuster’s License is required.

• Proven experience in managing complex property claims, litigated files, and appraisal processes.

• Strong comprehension of property policy language, coverage interpretation, liability evaluation, and subrogation principles.

• Experience collaborating with lawyers, engineers, environmental specialists, contractors, and other technical experts.

• Exceptional analytical, negotiation, organizational, and communication skills, with the capability to work autonomously in a remote setting.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and French.

• Experience in managing environmental claims, including oil spill incidents.

• Background in handling mould, asbestos, condominium, travel trailer, and park model claims.

• Experience in preparing loss schedules for complex claims.

• Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership and support on intricate claim assessments.

• Advanced knowledge of XactAnalysis and property restoration estimating methodologies.
