Senior Project Manager – Gas Power Generation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Provide senior leadership and oversee the operational and financial dimensions of intricate, multi-disciplinary programs and projects, including coordination at the portfolio level.

• Act as the main liaison with client stakeholders across various projects.

• Guide early project development from Notice of Intent (NOI) to warranty, including contract negotiations, preliminary engineering work, sequencing, and supply chain strategies.

• Implement Standard Work Instructions and Quality Programs; enhance process utilization, safety, and risk management.

• Lead planning at the portfolio and program levels while sponsoring multiple Project Manager teams.

• Manage projects from NOI to Warranty and supervise other Project Managers.

• Formulate stakeholder engagement strategies and foster relationships across projects and programs.

• Negotiate complex contracts and exhibits, advising Project Managers on contract strategies and high-risk negotiations.

• Supervise requirements management, lifecycle documentation, and both strategic and technical deliverables.

• Create long-term, cross-team schedules and review the schedules of Project Managers.

• Establish risk strategies, manage escalated risks, develop recovery plans, and oversee change-control processes.

• Conduct assurance reviews and third-party audits.

• Manage budgets, resource allocation, financial forecasting, time-phasing, billing, and change controls.

• Set the direction for teams, communicate the vision, build capabilities, and offer training, coaching, and mentoring.

• Onboard and train PM1s in tools, processes, workflows, and financial forecasting.

• Participate in PM1 performance evaluations, development coaching, and structured growth planning.

• Promote innovation and engage in internal initiatives, committees, and cross-functional improvements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction or engineering; or an equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience.

• A minimum of 7 years of overall project/construction experience.

• At least 5 years of leadership experience.

• Preferred experience in renewable construction.

• Outstanding leadership and communication skills (oral, presentation, written).

• Extensive knowledge of cost accounting, construction regulations, and risk management.

• Advanced planning and conceptual abilities; capable of developing portfolio-level sequencing and schedules.

• Understanding of salary structures, market pricing, compensation modeling, and remuneration practices.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.

• Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines.

• Capability to manage sensitive and confidential information.

• Willingness to travel.

• Experience with Gas Power Generation projects.
