Senior Project Manager – Energy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Oversee all facets of work scopes assigned to both new and existing nuclear projects at AtkinsRéalis.

• Direct project team members and create work execution plans, work breakdown structures, deliverables, organizational charts, budgets, schedules, subcontract and supplier strategies, risk management plans, forecasts, and resource plans.

• Recruit, interview, hire, train, and mentor project personnel.

• Collaborate with functional managers and Integrated Project Delivery partner organizations.

• Ensure that project progress adheres to safety, quality, schedule, cost, and contractual obligations.

• Define project scopes and deliverables in accordance with contracts, quality standards, and client expectations.

• Manage contracts, scope and change control, requirements, subcontractors, suppliers, and governance protocols.

• Supervise nuclear and industrial safety, training, corrective action initiatives, and performance standards.

• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and stringent project reporting protocols.

• Ensure adherence to ethical standards, cybersecurity, import-export regulations, intellectual property, and security clearance requirements.

• Oversee procurement, subcontract management, invoicing, accruals, supply chain strategies, quality control, scheduling, budgeting, and performance metrics.

• Implement project controls for planning, scheduling, baseline management, cost oversight, budgeting, cash flow management, invoicing, forecasting, and resource allocation.

• Develop and execute project execution plans, reporting progress to clients and senior management.

• Conduct risk assessments utilizing Monte Carlo simulations and contingency draw-down curves.

• Foster relationships with clients, partners, suppliers, and stakeholders.

• Prepare and secure approvals for bids, changes, and settlements in line with corporate Level of Authority procedures.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.

• A minimum of 15 years of experience in the commercial nuclear sector.

• At least 10 years of project management experience.

• A minimum of 10 years' experience in team leadership roles.

• Experience working within an operational Nuclear environment.

• Proven track record in successful management.

• Demonstrated technical and managerial expertise.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Capability to scope, delegate, and oversee work assigned to a diverse team.

• Ability to independently and critically evaluate Engineering work products, providing technical guidance, feedback, mentorship, and quality control.

• Proficient in engaging constructively with both internal and external clients.

• Self-motivated individual capable of working within a team environment with minimal supervision.

• Experience in new design and construction projects in the nuclear reactor field.

• Familiarity with large EPC operations, including subcontract and prime contract management.

• Knowledge of nuclear supply chain and materials management principles.

• Understanding of Quality Assurance Programs and their importance in the nuclear sector.

• Strong organizational, communication, and customer relation skills.

• Knowledge of project delivery methodologies, earned value management, critical path scheduling, contract management, procurement, supply chain methodologies, construction work packaging, and inspection and testing plans.

• Working knowledge of industrial safety and the nuclear safety culture.

• Professional Engineering (PE) License is required.

• U.S. citizenship is necessary for consideration.

• MBA is preferred.

• Project Management experience is preferred.
