Senior Project Manager – Data Center

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Plan and oversee every aspect of technical projects from the initial stage to delivery.

• Guarantee successful service delivery and customer satisfaction through efficient project management.

• Manage project initiation tasks, which include understanding contractual obligations, client requirements and objectives, current situations, and necessary contacts.

• Create, define, and implement project plans, project scope, activities, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.

• Identify required resources and define and assign key project roles.

• Coordinate activities among project team members, internal departments, clients, and vendors/subcontractors.

• Assign and oversee project team tasks, providing technical and analytical guidance and support.

• Engage with clients on technical issues.

• Manage project risks, issues, challenges, and activity progression.

• Assist in resolving problems and mitigating risks.

• Oversee vendor/subcontractor task integration and review their deliverables.

• Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams, as well as vendors/subcontractors.

• Conduct project closure activities, including acceptance, handover documentation, and post-implementation evaluations.

• Supervise employees assigned to the project; select, develop, and assess personnel.

• Identify and enhance project management coordination processes.

• Keep project information current in AHEAD systems, including PSA.

• Support presales efforts, including OA, SOWs, and client presentations.

• Cultivate customer relationships and identify additional sales opportunities.

• Coach and mentor junior project management personnel.

• Manage the daily operations of assigned project segments and oversee the overall group of projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.

• At least 12 years of experience in project management, particularly in leading and executing complex projects or programs.

• Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional) are preferred.

• Experience with data center/workload migrations, data center consolidation, and/or data center build-outs is essential.

• Strong technical expertise in Dell, VMware, Rubrik, NetApp, etc.

• Proven ability to independently manage medium to high-risk, high-complexity, and high-visibility client projects.

• Must possess a strategic mindset to align projects or programs with organizational objectives.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, teamwork, conflict management, and time management capabilities.

• Strong communication and leadership skills.

• Advanced proficiency in project management software.

• Demonstrated capability in managing project budgets and timelines effectively.

• Skilled in negotiation techniques to achieve agreements amidst differing viewpoints.

• Ability to effectively engage with executive-level clients.

• Proficient in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks efficiently.
