Senior Project Manager – Broadcast Media

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the project's scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction from Initiation to Closing.

• Supervise and conduct project management tasks for Broadcast projects, including budgets and scopes.

• Control assigned project activities and serve as the accountable person for projects.

• Manage project communications, schedules, task lists, consulting team deliverables, and ensure project completion.

• Deliver consulting projects within deadlines, budget constraints, and with a high level of customer satisfaction.

• Continuously enhance established Diversified processes.

• Act as the primary client liaison and foster long-term client relationships.

• Manage client expectations, communications, and overall satisfaction.

• Provide leadership and accountability for projects within Diversified.

• Coordinate with stakeholders, delegate responsibilities, and facilitate both client and internal project meetings.

• Support team members and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.

• Address and resolve conflicts constructively.

• Design, plan, and coordinate work teams for Media and Entertainment consulting projects.

• Establish and maintain communication with Account Executives, Directors, consultants, subject matter experts, and clients.

• Develop and convey project updates.

• Monitor labor budgets, project costs, timelines, and staffing needs.

• Provide or direct technical and administrative support to project teams.

• Develop and maintain project schedules.

• Coordinate deliverable documentation and facilitate document reviews.

• Provide punch lists of remaining tasks following substantial completion.

• Engage contractors when necessary.

• Ensure quality and foster continuous improvement.

• Coordinate project transitions to later-phase project teams.

• Manage and report on project financials, budget performance, profitability, and timely client billing.

• Communicate decision options to stakeholders and oversee decision-making processes.

• Conduct safety walk-throughs, incident investigations, and prepare safety documentation for client site visits.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred location: Northeast or Southeast.

• SPMP certification from the Project Management Institute is desired.

• Other relevant certifications may be required or preferred, including Certified Scrum Master (CSM).

• Proven knowledge of Agile project management, software project management, program management, organizational change management, and potentially cloud technologies.

• Over 10 years of experience as a project manager in media technology projects, particularly in consulting.

• Familiarity with broadcast operations and technologies.

• Proficient with hardware- and software-based solutions.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills.

• Capability to manage design/build projects for the Media business unit.

• Aptitude for diagnosing and resolving complex technical, political, and interpersonal issues.

• More than 5 years of experience managing complex broadcast infrastructures/projects ($10–30M), matrix-managing over 6 professionals, and fiscally managing annual budgets exceeding $1M.

• Demonstrated knowledge of broadcast technology, equipment, facilities, and production systems.

• Experience with high-definition, UHD, and HDR video systems utilizing analog, SDI, and SMPTE 2110 IP transport protocols.

• Understanding of TCP/IP routing, ACLs, QoS, VLANs, and wireless access points.

• Proven history of successfully completing engineering projects.

• Clear comprehension of project phases: Program, Conceptualization, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Construction, and Commissioning.

• In-depth understanding of the consulting process, encompassing discovery, business analysis, gap analysis, workflow documentation, conceptual system diagrams, roadmaps, presentations, and written narratives.

• Awareness of systems integration, architectural drawings, construction drawings, and specifications.

• Detail-oriented, independent, and self-motivated.

• Exceptional time management skills and a strong record of meeting deadlines.

• Ability to analyze complex issues and convey concise, succinct messages.

• High level of problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills.

• Valid driver's license in the state of residence.

• Capability to use personal vehicle for work-related travel.
