Senior Project Manager – Broadcast Media

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction for Broadcast projects throughout their entire lifecycle.

• Supervise project management functions related to Broadcast projects, including budgets and scopes.

• Act as the accountable owner with direct oversight of project activities.

• Manage project communications, timelines, task lists, consulting team deliverables, and project completion.

• Ensure consulting projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and with high customer satisfaction.

• Enhance existing Diversified processes.

• Function as the primary client liaison and cultivate long-term client relationships.

• Handle client expectations, communications, and satisfaction levels.

• Provide leadership, ownership, communication, and follow-up for projects within Diversified.

• Coordinate with stakeholders, delegate tasks, and facilitate client and internal project meetings.

• Support team members and maintain regular communication with stakeholders.

• Address and resolve conflicts effectively.

• Design, plan, and organize work teams for Media and Entertainment consulting projects.

• Establish and uphold communication with account executives, directors, consultants, subject matter experts, and clients.

• Develop and disseminate project updates.

• Monitor labor budgets and project costs, timelines, and staffing requirements.

• Provide or direct technical and administrative support to project team members.

• Create and maintain project schedules.

• Coordinate documentation of deliverables and facilitate document reviews.

• Compile punch lists of outstanding tasks following substantial completion.

• Contract with external contractors as necessary.

• Ensure quality control and continuous improvement.

• Facilitate project transitions to later-phase project teams.

• Manage and report on project financials, budget performance, profitability, and client invoicing.

• Communicate options for decision-making to stakeholders and oversee project decisions.

• Conduct or support safety activities on client sites, including PPE compliance, hazard resolution, incident investigations, safety walk-throughs, and safety documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience as a project manager in media technology projects, particularly in consulting.

• More than 5 years of experience managing complex broadcast infrastructures/projects ($10–30M), matrix managing over 6 professionals, and fiscal management of annual budgets exceeding $1M.

• Proficient knowledge of broadcast operations and technologies.

• Familiarity with both hardware and software-based solutions.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills.

• Capability to manage design/build projects for the Media business unit.

• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical, political, and interpersonal issues.

• Knowledgeable in broadcast technology, equipment, facilities, and production systems.

• Experience with high-definition, UHD, and HDR video systems utilizing analog, SDI, and SMPTE 2110 IP transport protocols.

• Understanding of TCP/IP routing, ACLs, QoS, VLANs, and wireless access points.

• Proven history of successfully completing engineering projects.

• Familiarity with project phases including Program, Conceptualization, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Construction, and Commissioning.

• Demonstrated understanding of consulting processes such as discovery, business analysis, gap analysis, workflow documentation, conceptual system diagrams, roadmaps, presentations, and written narratives.

• Awareness of systems integration, architectural drawings, and construction drawings and specifications.

• Detail-oriented, independent self-starter.

• Exceptional time management and ability to meet deadlines.

• Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting abilities.

• Valid driver's license in the employee's state of residence.

• SPMP certification from the Project Management Institute is preferred.

• Certified Scrum Master certification and other relevant certifications may be required or preferred based on the technology focus.
