Senior Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of delivery execution for client engagements throughout Canada.

• Oversee multiple projects from initiation to completion with minimal oversight.

• Develop project plans that encompass scope, milestones, resources, and budget aligned with SOW deliverables.

• Safeguard fixed-fee scope by identifying changes early, negotiating discrepancies, and making prioritization decisions.

• Coordinate delivery across various time zones between clients and engineering teams located in Brazil and Canada.

• Manage project governance, which includes status updates, sprint reviews, and risk and issue management.

• Facilitate the creation of backlogs with definitions, acceptance criteria, and estimates; oversee work in Jira.

• Monitor milestones and documentation for AWS-funded projects.

• Foster customer trust through dependable delivery, consistent communication, and handling challenging conversations.

• Achieve customer business outcomes and identify follow-on opportunities for the commercial team.

• Contribute to the growth of the client’s delivery practice by developing templates, processes, and AI project management strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience working with North American clients, including a minimum of 3 years in a client-facing Project Manager position.

• At least 2 years in a consulting or professional services setting.

• Proven experience in delivering cloud, data, or AI projects.

• AWS experience is highly preferred.

• Experience managing distributed teams across different time zones.

• Proficient in forecasting and budget management for fixed-fee or milestone-based projects.

• Comfortable working across various project management methodologies.

• Strong organizational skills across multiple concurrent projects.

• Effective communication with both business and technical stakeholders.

• Legal authorization to work in Canada; the client cannot sponsor visas or work permits.

• Fluent in English.

• Proficiency in Portuguese is a plus.

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification is advantageous.

• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, or willingness to obtain certification within 90 days.

• Familiarity with generative AI, Amazon Bedrock, data engineering, or application modernization.

• Experience with AWS partner programs and funded engagements, such as MAP.

• Background in an early-stage company.
