Senior Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to guarantee timely, within-scope solution deployments.

• Support the full project lifecycle, which includes pre-sales solution design and definition, project implementation, system configuration, transition to Support, project documentation, and closure.

• Foster communication and teamwork within internal groups to align project goals, schedules, and outputs.

• Engage with clients and prospects during pre-sales activities to define solutions and document professional service requests in line with product capabilities.

• Track and maintain project timelines and deadlines.

• Organize meetings, provide agendas, and relay outcomes and action items.

• Proactively tackle roadblocks and delays through effective communication and accountability.

• Manage changes in project scope, identify risks, and assist in formulating contingency plans.

• Work in collaboration with internal teams to enhance processes and provide constructive feedback to the Delivery team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in project management, including leading Agile projects and engaging with Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.

• Strong technical knowledge and familiarity with software development concepts.

• Capability to navigate ambiguity and manage the complexities of custom software projects.

• In-depth understanding of Agile and Scrum principles with practical application of these methodologies.

• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on follow-up and follow-through.

• Proficient in multitasking, setting priorities, and clarifying tasks amidst uncertainty.

• Experience interacting with external customers at all levels and leading customer meetings.

• Proven ability to work effectively in a cohesive team with technical resources shared across multiple projects.

• Skill in compiling technical requirements and implementation details into customer-facing documentation.

• Attention to detail in documenting effort estimates, technical requirements, and project timelines.

• Confidence in working under pressure, communicating with customers, and steering team members towards agreed deadlines.

• Ability to manage expectations and resolve disputes or conflicts professionally.

• Quick adaptability to new technologies.

• Capability to apply project management discipline and structure within a dynamic organization.

• Scrum Master or Agile certification (CSM or PMI-ACP, etc.) is a plus.

• Experience in coaching and leading Agile transformation initiatives is a plus.

• Cross-functional experience acting as a liaison between various teams is a plus.

• Background in software development is a plus.

• Must reside in and be authorized to work in Costa Rica.
